This is an answer more appropriate for the one on target audience and the comments I will make are assuming that it is that answer.
ReplyDeleteFamilies?? Really? You need more on the psychographics of your TA. Do any of the UK tribes categorisations fit? How big do you think your TA is compared to that for, say, NME? What advertising revenue might they generate? Be more specific with brands/products that might want to advertise in your magazine. Take a look at some media kits for related magazines to see how specific they are.
For this to be an answer on the representation question you need to explore the representation of femaile youth or female 'indie' fans/artists in your images. What sort of assumptions about attitudes and personalities are embedded in your representation? Do they challenge stereotypes or reinforce them? In what ways?
